Last week, all classes of the ISK Piter Jelles in Leeuwarden were introduced to Embrace Nederland's Slagkracht programme. In a one-hour workshop, the students could let off steam on the samba drums to create swinging beats together. They were supported by workshop leaders Elian and Jochem.
Striking power ensures that groups – the program also runs in two neighborhoods in Leeuwarden – play together, that people have an eye for each other and that participants sometimes discover undiscovered talents. These results were also clearly visible in the different classes of ISK Piter Jelles. Friday was a joint closing of the project.
