Palliative care

Palliative care

Embrace Nederland provides musical moments for people in the last phase of their lives. The musical moments consist of repertoire and/or improvised music. Patients may, if they wish, contribute ideas about the repertoire. This is not fixed in advance. Our professional musicians have a long repertoire list to best meet the needs of the patients.
It appears that a 'different' activity has a positive influence on patients and their families. Due to the musical moment, it is not about the course of the disease and the approaching end. With our musical moments we want to let people enjoy music, and offer them comfort, peace and happiness.

What does a musical moment look like?

The musical moments start in the hallway of the healthcare facility. People can choose whether they want the musicians to come close to them, for example in their room or even at their bedside. The presence of musicians playing live for them is a very special event for many people. During the musical moment, we keep a close eye on the patient's needs. Musicians have a lot of contact with the care workers and also consult with the family.
